Castell'azzara
Castell'Azzara is a municipality in the province of Grosseto, which stretches between the southern slopes dell'Amiata and shore Northern dell'Area del Tufo that in the past had a certain importance to mineral deposits, especially Cinabro, which are known fin from antiquity. The center was born between the eleventh and twelfth century as a domain of the family Aldobrandeschi moving temporarily to Basque Orvieto horse in the years between the end of the thirteenth century and the beginning of the fourteenth century. Following the place back under the control of the Aldobrandeschi and joined the County of Santa Fiora in 1439 that was inherited by Sforza as a result of marriage between Bosio Sforza and Cecilia Aldobrandeschi. Only during the seventeenth century with the final collapse of the county policy sforzesca joined the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
