Castell'azzara

Castell'Azzara is a municipality in the province of Grosseto, which stretches between the southern slopes dell'Amiata and shore Northern dell'Area del Tufo that in the past had a certain importance to mineral deposits, especially Cinabro, which are known fin from antiquity. The center was born between the eleventh and twelfth century as a domain of the family Aldobrandeschi moving temporarily to Basque Orvieto horse in the years between the end of the thirteenth century and the beginning of the fourteenth century.
